I have several suggestions which i think would make so much difference to php director, here they are:
Auto Approve - This saves you having to login everyday to check for new videos, it also allows people who submit videos to see the results instantly.
Bulk URL submit - some kind of form which allows you to enter lists of youtube URLS, or video id's in one go.
Search term youtube importer - allows you to type in a search term on youtube and harvest all the videos that appear for that search. I have seen some of the other paid youtube style video software packages have this function.
Video information importer - Ability to import the video title, username+description from youtube and similar.
Support any direct link video - eg. to be able to submit any video URL to either flv,mp4,avi, etc. I'm sure this one would be easy enough to do, we just need a place to enter the URLs, maybe a form especially for direct link videos, with URL, title, description etc. Although this might promote pirate video sites??so maybe you need to keep a runtime limit to stop feature films etc.
Adsense support - a section in admin which allows you to enter your adsense ID which then automatically ads a standard format text ad or banner.
User Accounts - i know this one might take a little longer but if you had user accounts with adsense support this would instantly make php director much more attractive. You could even work out a way to take a percentage of the revenue back for the makers of PHP director, just like youtube do. They take 50% of all ad revenue, you could do the same by using your own adsense ID for all versions of the software which you freely circulate, then integrate some way to let you know which user you owe the money to etc. then you would make the payments. This is the way i can see you guys doing very well with this...A free "Youtube style Site" bandwidth free which earns you money! irresistable.
One last thing, maybe you could setup a poll as a sticky thread listing all suggestions from everyone, then work on the top one, just an idea. I know it must be difficult to keep up with requests.
