creating a google search page

How do I create the proper page to include a google search RESULTS page.

goggle generates code to include, and I want to just have the header, footer, database connections
for pagination and the search results in the center of the page.

everything I've tried creates smarty template errors?

any suggestions?

below the main site's search area is the google search box.
